Basketball Game Preview: Edison Eagles vs. Old Bridge Knights

Edison and Old Bridge are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2016, but not for long. The Edison Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Old Bridge Knights at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.

Edison is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Colonia just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 39-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on SaturdayOld Bridge capped 2024 with a 43-40 victory over Spotswood. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

The win got Old Bridge back to even at 2-2. As for Edison, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2.

Edison came up short against Old Bridge when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 48-37. Can Edison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
