Soccer Recap: Lincolnton Comes Up Short

Lincolnton lost against Newton-Conover back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Lincolnton came up short against Newton-Conover, falling 7-0. Jaylin Vallejo was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Lincolnton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Newton-Conover, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-4-1.

Coming up, Lincolnton will square off against Bandys at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newton-Conover, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against West Iredell on the 21st.
