Basketball Recap: Glen Oaks Snaps 15-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Glen Oaks made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Scotlandville, but still couldn't quite topple them. The Glen Oaks Panthers breezed by the Scotlandville Hornets to the tune of 48-21 on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Panthers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Hornets are ranked 31st).

Glen Oaks' victory ended a 15-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-24. As for Scotlandville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-8 record this season.

Glen Oaks wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 44-43 win against Belaire on the 18th. Scotlandville has also already played their next game, a 56-52 victory against Crescent City Christian on the 18th.
