Basketball Recap: River Rouge Piles Up the Points Against Pontiac

River Rouge won the last time they faced Pontiac and things went their way on Wednesday too. The River Rouge Panthers breezed by the Pontiac Phoenix to the tune of 48-18. With the Panthers ahead 32-11 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Despite the loss, Pontiac saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Germani Hall posted 13 points. That was a full 72.2% of Pontiac's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

River Rouge moved to 5-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Pontiac, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

River Rouge has already played their next contest, a 52-40 loss against Pershing on the 1st. As for Pontiac, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-13 win against Oak Park on the 31st.
