Basketball Recap: Coolidge Takes a Loss

Coolidge lost against Valley Christian back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Coolidge Bears were dealt an 87-46 defeat at the hands of the Valley Christian Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Trojans are ranked tenth).

Coolidge lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jensen Carter, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 17 points and five boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in November of 2024. Adarius Miguel was another key player, going 6-for-9 on his way to 14 points and six boards.

Coolidge's loss dropped their record down to 22-9. As for Valley Christian, they pushed their record up to 23-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Coolidge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley Christian, they will square off against North Valley Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Valley Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
