Basketball Game Preview: Hazen Highlanders vs. Inglemoor Vikings

The Hazen Highlanders will head out to take on the Inglemoor Vikings at 6:50 p.m. on Friday. Hazen is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Hazen lost 68-44 to Bellevue on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Wolverines are ranked 20th).

Despite the loss, Hazen got top-tier performance from Sadie Hollander, who dropped a triple-double on 33 points, ten boards, and ten blocks. The game was Hollander's fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Meanwhile, Inglemoor beat Juanita 56-48 on Wednesday.

Hazen's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Inglemoor, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Hazen ended up a good deal behind Inglemoor in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, losing 49-34. Can Hazen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
