Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Addison Trail

On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Addison Trail Blazers beat the Conant Cougars 75-69. The win was all the more spectacular given the Blazers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 368th, while the Cougars are ranked 131st).

Addison Trail now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Conant, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

Addison Trail will square off against Berwyn/Cicero Morton at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. One thing working in Addison Trail's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Conant, they will take on Geneva at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
