Volleyball Recap: Loretto Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Breleigh Winters and Ella Potts

Loretto's tournament run continued when they took on Liberty Creek on Saturday. The Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves.

While Loretto was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Loretto had strong showings from Ella Potts, who had nine digs and six assists, and Breleigh Winters, who had 11 digs.

Loretto has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-22 record this season. As for Liberty Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season.

Loretto will challenge Summertown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty Creek, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Beech on the 20th.
