Basketball Recap: Greenbrier Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Greenbrier Christian Academy played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 61-22 loss at the hands of the Hampton Christian Academy Warriors. The loss continues a trend for the Gators in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost seven in a row.

Asher Joyce was nothing short of spectacular for Hampton Christian Academy: he went 7-for-9 en route to 18 points and eight rebounds. Joyce is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 78% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bryce Harris, who posted 11 points.

Greenbrier Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Hampton Christian Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-10.

Coming up, Greenbrier Christian Academy will challenge StoneBridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hampton Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
