Baseball Recap: Amherst-Pelham Regional Takes a Loss

Amherst-Pelham Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Southwick Regional Rams, falling 14-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-6 two weeks ago.

Amherst-Pelham Regional saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nate Ziomek, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that Ziomek has hit this season.

Amherst-Pelham Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Southwick Regional, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amherst-Pelham Regional will venture away from home to face off against Ware at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwick Regional, they will square off against Monson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
