Plainfield had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Lawrence North Wildcats 3-0 on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Quakers as they're now sitting on five straight.
Audrey Utterback paced Plainfield's offense, picking up 18 kills. Utterback got some help from Charlee Groninger and her 38 assists. Groninger also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Evie Ellis, each putting up two.
Plainfield's victory bumped their record up to 27-5. As for Lawrence North, they now have a losing record of 17-18.
Plainfield has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Castle on the 1st. Lawrence North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
