Football Recap: Jeremery Bass and Allen Lugo Lead the Defense for Riverview Win

Riverview lost to Bartow back in November of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Sharks took down the Yellow Jackets 20-6.

Riverview didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jeremery Bass and Lugo. Bass is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Riverview received some extra help from Persaud, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Riverview now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Bartow, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

Coming up, Riverview will square off against East Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bartow, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Durant at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
