Softball Recap: Silas Starts Season with Win on the Road

Softball Recap: Silas Rams vs. Curtis Vikings
Silas had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Curtis Vikings 25-15 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.
Natalie Medalia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Medalia was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.
In other batting news, Ary'Anna Payne was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. Another player making a difference was Kaydence Griffith, who scored two runs and stole Four bases.
Silas kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Curtis only managed eight hits.
Coming up, Silas is taking a road trip to challenge Timberline at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Curtis, they will be playing at home against Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Curtis is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
