Basketball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson lost against Dr. Maya Angelou Community back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Democrats took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Phoenix.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Dr. Maya Angelou Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Jefferson will head out to square off against Robert F. Kennedy Community at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dr. Maya Angelou Community, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Diego Rivera at 4:00 p.m. on January 14, 2026.
