The Conifer Lobos will square off against the Pomona Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Pomona took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Conifer, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Conifer turned things around against Littleton on Thursday. They walked away with an 11-8 win over the Lions. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lobos considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Luke Adams was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Tracy, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Adams wasn't the only one making solid contact: Conifer kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Pomona didn't have quite enough to beat Green Mountain on Thursday and fell 7-6. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Spencer Werner and Maddux Najera stepped up to the plate in a big way. Werner scored two runs and stole six bases while going 1-for-3, while Najera scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Najera is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tavin Caldwell, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.
Pomona's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Conifer, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Conifer has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Pomona struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Conifer beat Pomona 9-5 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Lobos repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
