Soccer Game Preview: Los Angeles vs. Sherman Oaks CES

The Los Angeles Romans are taking a road trip to challenge the Sherman Oaks CES Knights at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Los Angeles gave up the first goal last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against West Adams, sneaking past 2-1. The result kept the Romans happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 27th.

Brandon Aldana and Wilmer Coc scored both of Los Angeles' goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Sherman Oaks CES had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let Jefferson get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Los Angeles is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those five matchups. Sherman Oaks CES pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
