It was a proper cat-fight when Central Christian faced off against Cunningham on Tuesday. The Cougars narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Wildcats 2-1.
Central Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Player #10 was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 27 digs and one assist. Those 27 digs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrienne Walter, who had 12 digs.
Meanwhile, Norwich hadn't done well against Pretty Prairie recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eagles skirted past the Bulldogs 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since September 18th.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Norwich got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 18-25, 25-14.
Central Christian's record now sits at 16-9. As for Norwich, their record is now 15-12.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's matchup: Central Christian has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.5 aces per game. However, it's not like Norwich struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.7 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
