It was a good run, but Northview unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

Avery Wagoner paced Northview's offense, picking up five kills. Wagoner got some help from Marabell Brownthwaite and her seven assists. Wagoner also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emma Rupeika, each putting up two.

Leading St. Pius X Catholic to victory were Sofia Ziran and Eveliina Campbell. Ziran had six digs and two aces, while Campbell had ten assists and five digs.

Northview's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for St. Pius X Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-16 record this season.

Northview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Marist on the 23rd. As for St. Pius X Catholic, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Westminster on the 27th.
