Weedsport has gone 8-2 against Cato-Meridian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Weedsport Wolverines will challenge the Cato-Meridian Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Weedsport is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Beaver River just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Beavers by a score of 68-65. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wolverines have suffered since February 2, 2024.

Meanwhile, Cato-Meridian strolled past Port Byron with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 64-48. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 349th, while the Panthers are ranked 748th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cato-Meridian is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Weedsport, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4.

Weedsport came up short against Cato-Meridian in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 52-48. Can Weedsport avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
