Baseball Game Preview: Macon County Tigers vs. Livingston Academy Wildcats

The Macon County Tigers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Livingston Academy Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Macon County is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Livingston Academy. Macon County's pitchers stepped up to hand Livingston Academy a 9-0 shutout on Monday. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Wildcats on their field since May 6, 2019.

Eli Carver looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Macon County got a massive performance out of Matthew Wheeley, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. What's more, Wheeley posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Jake Meador was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.
