Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Richland). Everything went their way against the Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers on Saturday as the Richland Rams made off with an 84-59 win. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 25 points or more this season.

Berlin Brothersvalley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Carson Janidlo, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave Janidlo a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joseph Richardson, who posted 13 points and six rebounds.

Richland is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richland will face off against Bald Eagle Area at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Richland's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, they will head out to take on Meyersdale at 7:15 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
