Basketball Game Preview: Pendleton Bulldogs vs. Belton-Honea Path Bears

The Pendleton Bulldogs will face off against the Belton-Honea Path Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pendleton will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Pendleton earned a 50-37 win over West-Oak. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly 13 points.

Meanwhile, Belton-Honea Path strolled past Crescent with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 74-59. The Bears pushed the score to 61-40 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers cut but never quite recovered from.

Belton-Honea Path has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Pendleton, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-12.

Pendleton beat Belton-Honea Path 65-57 in their previous meeting on Wednesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pendleton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
