Arthur-Okaw Christian had a senior duo take command as Kyson Pflum dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds and Brock Helmuth went 5 of 12 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds. That's the most rebounds Pflum has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of James Lee, who posted eight points.
Arthur-Okaw Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against Arcola, falling 74-39. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-13.
Arthur-Okaw Christian will need focus on slowing down Noa Rosa, one of several Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] players who made an impact when they last played. He had eight points. Preston Bancroft was another key player, putting up five points.
Arthur-Okaw Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland], their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Arthur-Okaw Christian has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 24.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.6 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
