Baseball Preview: St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions vs. Flint Hill Huskies
For the second straight game, St. Andrew's Episcopal will face off against Flint Hill. The Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Huskies at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
On Monday, St. Andrew's Episcopal didn't have quite enough to beat Flint Hill and fell 5-4. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
For Flint Hill's part, they got a great performance from Marshall Johnson as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Johnson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brennan Lublin, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Jake Blazejowski also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
