Baseball Game Preview: Dodgeville Dodgers vs. Wisconsin Heights Vanguards

The Dodgeville Dodgers will square off against the Wisconsin Heights Vanguards on Tuesday. Dodgeville will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Dodgeville was able to grind out a solid victory over River Ridge, taking the game 7-3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wisconsin Heights). Everything went their way against Iowa-Grant on Thursday as they made off with a 16-10 win. The Vanguards not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3rd (when they won 11-1).

Dodgeville's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Wisconsin Heights, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Dodgeville couldn't quite get it done against Wisconsin Heights in their previous matchup back in May as they fell 9-5. Can the Dodgers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
