Recap: Parrish Community Bulls vs. Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons
The Parrish Community Bulls won the last time they faced the Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Parrish Community walked away with a 58-49 victory over Saint Stephen's Episcopal. Given Parrish Community's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while Saint Stephen's Episcopal is ranked 649th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Parrish Community got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Higgins out in front who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Malakai Cuffy was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Saint Stephen's Episcopal still got an impressive performance from Nick Yatros, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Walters, who scored five points along with 13 rebounds.
Parrish Community has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, they dropped their record down to 4-15 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parrish Community will take on Booker at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Booker will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against American Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. American Collegiate Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.6 points per game.
