Soccer Game Preview: Sehome vs. Anacortes

The Sehome Mariners will venture away from home to take on the Anacortes Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sehome's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Anacortes' offense will have their work cut out for them.

Sehome is headed into the contest without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. They and Sedro-Woolley finished up their game with a 0-0 draw on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Anacortes hadn't done well against Bellingham recently (they were 1-7-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Seahawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Bayhawks. That's two games straight that Anacortes have won by just one goal.

The win made it two in a row for Anacortes and bumps their season record up to 7-1-2. Sehome's draw gives them a new season record of 7-0-2.

Everything went Sehome's way against Anacortes in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Sehome made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mariners since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
