Redwood has gone 8-2 against Tamalpais recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Redwood Giants will welcome the Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Redwood's favor as the squad sits on eight straight wins at home while Tamalpais has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.

Last Tuesday, Redwood made easy work of San Marin and carried off a 74-53 win. Given the Giants' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Mustangs are ranked 324th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tamalpais was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 59-58 to San Rafael.

Redwood is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for Tamalpais, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Redwood was able to grind out a solid victory over Tamalpais in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 56-44. Will Redwood repeat their success, or does Tamalpais have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
