Volleyball Game Preview: Freedom Prep Academy Eagles vs. Salt Lake Academy Griffins

Freedom Prep Academy hasn't had much luck against Salt Lake Academy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will square off against the Griffins at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

Salt Lake Academy will be up against a hot Freedom Prep Academy team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Eagles blew past Rockwell 3-0 on Tuesday.

Freedom Prep Academy's got stronger as the match went on, holding Rockwell to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-15, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Salt Lake Academy waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Marauders.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Salt Lake Academy was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-12, 25-12.

Freedom Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Salt Lake Academy, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-6.

Freedom Prep Academy couldn't quite get it done against Salt Lake Academy when the teams last played two weeks ago as they fell 2-0. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
