Recap: Northland Prep Academy Spartans vs. Highland Prep Honey Badgers
In what's become a running theme this season, the Northland Prep Academy Spartans gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They claimed a resounding 57-26 victory over Highland Prep on the road. The win was nothing new for Northland Prep Academy as they're now sitting on three straight.
Northland Prep Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Noe Rhon out in front who scored 22 points along with six steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rhon has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Schulz, who scored 14 points along with six steals.
Highland Prep's loss came despite strong showings from Kendra Ibeh and Anahi Nunez. Ibeh scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three blocks, while Nunez scored six points along with three steals. Ibeh hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for nine straight games.
Highland Prep struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Northland Prep Academy pulled down 15 offensive rebounds.
Northland Prep Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Highland Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.
