Softball Recap: Baldwin Comes Up Short

Baldwin lost to Hewlett back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bruins fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 5-4.

Chloe Collado and Abby Belony stepped up to the plate in a big way. Collado went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI, while Belony went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Duet, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Baldwin's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Hewlett, the victory (which was their sixth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

Baldwin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-3 defeat against Floral Park Memorial on the 6th. Hewlett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
