Basketball Game Preview: Freedom Patriots vs. South Caldwell Spartans

The Freedom Patriots will face off against the South Caldwell Spartans at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Thursday, Freedom was fully in charge, breezing past Hibriten 89-50. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for South Caldwell, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 76-64 victory over Watauga on Thursday.

Freedom's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.3 points per game. As for South Caldwell, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.

Things could have been worse for Freedom, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 90-74 loss to South Caldwell in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Freedom avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
