Basketball Recap: Franklin Road Academy Finds Home Court Redemption Against Columbia Academy

There's no place like home for Franklin Road Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Columbia Academy Bulldogs on Monday, sneaking past 47-45. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 65-43 loss the last time these two teams met.

Columbia Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Harrison Brownlee, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points. What's more, Brownlee also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Jeremy Jackson was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to six assists and six boards.

Franklin Road Academy's record now sits at 9-14. As for Columbia Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-12.

Franklin Road Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-35 win against Middle Tennessee Christian on the 28th. Columbia Academy has also already played their next game, a 68-64 loss against Grace Christian Academy on the 28th.
