After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dixon, Havelock was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Jacksonville Cardinals. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Cody Jones, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Brayden Leverett, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Havelock's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Jacksonville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Havelock will venture away from home to take on Croatan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jacksonville, they will head out on the road to challenge Dixon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Dixon will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Jacksonville surely won't give up without a fight.
