Baseball Game Preview: Crawfordsville Athenians vs. Frankfort Hot Dogs

For the second straight game, Crawfordsville will face off against Frankfort. The Athenians are taking a road trip to take on the Hot Dogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

While Crawfordsville's win against Frankfort wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Athenians had just enough and edged out the Hot Dogs 6-4. The victory continues a trend for the Athenians in their matchups with the Hot Dogs: they've now won four in a row.

Henry Bannon and Jayden Jimenez did most of the damage at the plate: Bannon went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Jimenez went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. That triple was Bannon's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Konner Ellsbury, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Frankfort has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Crawfordsville, the win got them back to even at 10-10-1.
