Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hanover Central). They put the hurt on the Merrillville Pirates with a sharp 9-0 victory on Thursday. Julianna Bonato was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Hanover Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those seven contests. As for Merrillville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Hanover Central wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 5-0 loss against Crown Point on the 20th. As for Merrillville, they will face off against Michigan City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
