Honeoye Falls-Lima kept up with Monroe until halftime on Friday, but afterwards: not so much. The Red Jackets blew past the Cougars 38-7. The Red Jackets haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

A big part of Monroe's victory came down to the chemistry between Pooty Cunningham and his top target Messiah Hampton. Cunningham threw for 254 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes while Hampton gained 151 total yards and three touchdowns. Hampton also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making nine total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass. Anthony Omebe was in the mix as well, providing Monroe with one score.

Monroe's run defense was locked in: Honeoye Falls-Lima could only muster three yards per carry. While two picked up at least nine total tackles, Hampton stood above the rest. He picked up 110 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 41 yards and one TD. That's the most yards per carry they've managed all season.

Monroe's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Honeoye Falls-Lima, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
