Baseball Recap: Owego Free Academy Victorious

Owego Free Academy not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23rd (when they won 8-1). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Norwich Tornadoes a 7-0 shutout. The River Hawks haven't had any issues with the Tornadoes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Tyler Lewis made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Owego Free Academy is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Lewis was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Connor Kotski was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Dylan Brace, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Owego Free Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .577. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Owego Free Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Norwich, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Owego Free Academy nor Norwich have any future games scheduled.
