Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Ben Davis' Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ben Davis can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Covenant Christian Warriors on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Saturday.

Jael De La Cruz paced Ben Davis' offense, picking up 26 kills. De La Cruz got some help from Eden Torbert and his 37 assists.

Ben Davis moved to 11-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Covenant Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season.

Ben Davis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Covenant Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Center Grove on the 17th.
