Basketball Recap: Stevenson Skates Past San Lorenzo Valley with Ease

Stevenson's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the San Lorenzo Valley Cougars, posting a 72-42 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Pirates as it put an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Despite the defeat, San Lorenzo Valley had strong showings from Noah Steiger, who posted 13 points, and Hunter Lallemano, who had eight points. What's more, Steiger also racked up two boards, the most he's had since back in November of 2023.

Stevenson's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for San Lorenzo Valley, they dropped their record down to 4-4 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Stevenson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-41 defeat against Palma on the 21st. As for San Lorenzo Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-31 loss against Westmont on the 20th.
