Football Recap: Bowie Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Bowie won the last time they faced Del Valle and Rhys Moreno did his part to make sure it happened again. The Bulldogs simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Cardinals 48-21 with plenty of help from Moreno, who rushed for 172 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 13 rushing touchdowns on the season.

Bowie has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Del Valle, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Bowie and Del Valle could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Bulldogs (ranked 160th) will meet Dripping Springs (ranked 13th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Del Valle will face off against Lake Travis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (777 vs. 7).
