Volleyball Recap: Kinkaid Takes a Loss

Kinkaid was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Santa Fe Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2018.

Mila Prpa paced Kinkaid's offense, picking up ten kills. Prpa got some help from Lola Prpa and her 17 assists. Lola was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Kinkaid's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Santa Fe, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Kinkaid didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Bryan on the 15th. As for Santa Fe, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Granbury on the 15th.
