Softball Game Preview: Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers vs. Valley Forge Patriots

The Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers will challenge the Valley Forge Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Cuyahoga Falls and 13 for Valley Forge dating back to last season.

Copley hit Cuyahoga Falls with a 14-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Black Tigers came up short against the Indians, falling 16-2.

Cuyahoga Falls saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madi Davis, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that Davis has snagged this season.

Meanwhile, Valley Forge fell victim to Buckeye and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 15-0 to the Bucks.

Valley Forge's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Cuyahoga Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Cuyahoga Falls took their win against Valley Forge in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Black Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
