Preview: Augusta vs. El Dorado
After two weeks on the road, Augusta is heading back home. On Friday they will take on El Dorado at 7:00 PM. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Augusta have to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps state rankings on their side for this one.
Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Augusta, but their most recent contest may have softened the blow. They came out on top against Abilene by a score of 34-27 last Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for Augusta as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, El Dorado took a serious blow against Mulvane, falling 6-41. This makes it the second loss in a row for El Dorado.
Augusta's victory lifted them to 2-5 while El Dorado's defeat dropped them down to 2-5. We'll find out if Augusta can add another positive mark to their record or if El Dorado can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Augusta's step.
