Softball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends South Hills' Winning Streak

South Hills's last matchup with Paschal could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. South Hills came up short against Paschal, falling 10-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Scorpions haven't been shut out since back in February.

South Hills saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Ramirez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Ramirez has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

The loss snapped South Hills' winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-15-1 record. As for Paschal, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.

South Hills will be playing in front of their home fans against Polytechnic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Hills is facing Polytechnic at the right time seeing as Polytechnic is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Paschal, they are taking a road trip to take on Trimble Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trimble Tech has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.89 runs per game on average), something Paschal will no doubt try to take advantage of.
