Vance Charter's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Franklin Academy Patriots a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Knights have won four games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Aubrey Puryear was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Dakota Dickerson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Vance Charter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Vance Charter's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Franklin Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Vance Charter will take on East Wake Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin Academy, they will face off against Cary Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
