Football Game Preview: Shamrock Irish vs. Wheeler Mustangs

Shamrock hasn't had much luck against Wheeler recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Irish will host the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Shamrock has given up an average of 50.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Shamrock managed to slip by Quanah the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Irish were outmatched by the Indians and fell 52-12. The Irish were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-6.

Despite the loss, Shamrock saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cross Stambaugh picked up 112 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Wheeler waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Skyrockets get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory.

Shamrock's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Wheeler, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
