The Ocean View Christian Patriots will take on the Bonsall Legionnaires at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ocean View Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Ocean View Christian turned things around against San Diego Academy on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 22-4 margin over the Cavaliers. The Patriots' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Tabitha Channell was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Tori Worthington was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Gianna Pollard was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.
Ocean View Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Bonsall came up short against Valley Center on Monday, falling 22-1. The Legionnaires have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ocean View Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Bonsall, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.
