Basketball Recap: Westchester Country Day Takes a Loss

Westchester Country Day lost against Wesleyan Christian Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Westchester Country Day Wildcats had to suffer through a 70-40 loss at the hands of the Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Trojans are ranked 20th).

Westchester Country Day has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

Westchester Country Day won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Greensboro Day School at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, they and Calvary Day School will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
