Basketball Recap: Arthur-Okaw Christian's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Arthur-Okaw Christian was the 36-26 winner over Calvary Christian Academy when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Conquering Riders fell 36-26 to the Knights on Friday. The game marked the Conquering Riders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Arthur-Okaw Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Avery Herschberger posted 13 points and four steals. Herschberger is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last nine games she's played dating back to last season.

Arthur-Okaw Christian's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-3. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their record now sits at 9-2.

Coming up, Arthur-Okaw Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Okaw Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against St. Thomas More at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
